Job Title:  People & Development Business Partner
Posting Start Date:  30/09/2026
Job Description:

Here at Investa, we're all about creating spaces that reflect how people work, live, and thrive today, and how they'll want to do so in the future. For over 20 years, we've led the way in making positive change in Australia's workplaces. We're an Australian diversified real estate company with a recognised track record of investment and development across both office and living markets. Our purpose is to welcome the world to better places. We're people first and entrepreneurial, with a strong service ethos.

Why join us? We've made it our business to understand how people want to live and work today, tomorrow and beyond, and as you'd expect, we practise what we preach in our own workplace as well. We're known for our supportive, inclusive, and flexible work culture. With recognition from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, the Australian Workplace Equality Index, and multiple awards for workplace flexibility, our people and the way we work together are our difference.

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented People and Development Business Partner to join our People & Culture team. This is a part-time position, 3 days per week (hours can be spread over 3, 4 or 5 days).

We believe that when you back your people, great work follows, and this role is where that belief comes to life. You'll own our learning and development strategy from start to finish. That means spotting what our people need, finding the right way to deliver it, and making sure it makes a real difference to their careers. If you love seeing people grow, you'll feel right at home.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead our L&D strategy: Shape and deliver the learning and development strategy, curate our learning platform, and manage the budget so every dollar supports our priorities.
  • Partner with leaders: Work alongside leaders to understand what their teams need, and find practical and creative learning solutions for both teams and individuals.
  • Grow our leaders: Review the Leadership Academy each year and refocus it where it matters most. Support high-potential employees with targeted development plans that get them ready for their next role.
  • Make development planning count: Guide employees and managers through the development planning process, so plans are something people actually use.
  • Welcome new people in: Run our induction programs, online and in person. Deliver development planning training for new starters and refresher sessions for everyone else.
  • Keep learning fair: Make sure everyone has equal access to development, including gender equity in who takes part in our programs.
  • Work with great partners: Build relationships with external providers and facilitators. Work with online compliance learning provider on the design and implementation of new programs, and support team workshops across the business.
  • Create moments that matter: Design and deliver My Career Week with the People & Culture team, promote learning across the business, and support our involvement in Property Council of Australia mentoring programs.
  • Run education assistance: Manage the program from application through to Executive endorsement, keeping applicants in the loop along the way.

What you bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Learning or a similar field (an L&D qualification is a bonus)
  • Hands-on experience planning, developing and delivering learning solutions
  • Confidence facilitating learning programs and team workshops
  • A working knowledge of adult learning principles and development planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build trust with people at every level, from new starters to the Executive team
  • A creative, practical mindset. You can turn big-picture strategy into programs people want to attend
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail
  • The drive to work independently, take the initiative and use sound judgement
  • Experience with learning management or compliance learning systems (desirable)

What we offer:

  • Career Development: Leadership programs, education assistance, study support, professional membership fee support
  • Lifestyle: We offer generous parental leave, a return to work program, and summer hours
  • Inclusive Culture: A safe, welcoming environment for all, including individuals from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, the LGBTQ+ community, and those who are neurodivergent
  • Flexibility: We do our best to support you to be able to do the things that are important to you. We offer over 21 formal flexible work options, plus a truly supportive approach to balancing work with life's priorities
  • Health and Wellness: Discounted health insurance, free health and wellbeing services, discounted fitness classes, reproductive health benefits
  • Financial: Fully funded life and TPD insurance, novated leasing and retail discounts

We encourage people of all backgrounds to apply. Even if you don't meet all the criteria, we'd love to hear from you.
