As our Tax Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing the Group’s tax compliance, governance and advisory activities. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisers, you’ll help ensure compliance obligations are met, tax risks are effectively managed, and continuous improvements are embedded across our tax function.
Your key responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the Group’s tax compliance obligations across a large and diverse portfolio of entities.
- Review tax returns, trust distributions, withholding tax calculations and other key tax reporting requirements.
- Provide tax advice across income tax, GST, FBT, trust structures and property-related transactions.
- Support the management of tax risks through strong governance frameworks and controls.
- Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisers, auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and maintain tax process documentation and support tax audits and reviews.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impacts to the business.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
What you bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Tax Law or a related discipline.
- Experience in trust taxation, including MITs, AMITs, distributions and withholding tax obligations.
- Broad corporate tax knowledge covering income tax, GST and FBT.
- Experience managing complex tax compliance requirements across multiple entities.
- Strong understanding of tax governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide clear, practical advice.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
